GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper-binding peptide that has attracted significant attention lately for its role in skin remodeling and repair.

Research suggests that GHK-Cu supports the production of important components of the extracellular matrix, including collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans. Studies of topical GHK-Cu formulations have also reported improvements in skin density and thickness, fine lines, wrinkles, firmness, and overall appearance.

Think of GHK-Cu as a “repair signal” for the skin helping support the processes involved in maintaining a strong, healthy-looking skin structure.

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 works in the skin to make it look smoother and more relaxed, particularly in areas where repetitive facial movement contributes to visible lines. We consider it a neuro-active peptide.

Our Repair+Smooth Peptide Serum combines GHK-Cu 1% with Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 5% for a two-pronged approach:

Methylene Blue: An Emerging Skin-Longevity Ingredient

Methylene blue may be one of the most intriguing ingredients in modern skin longevity research.

Although it has a long history of use taken orally for various purposes, researchers have also investigated methylene blue for its potential effects on cellular oxidative stress and mitochondrial function.

In laboratory studies using human skin fibroblasts and reconstructed human skin models, methylene blue demonstrated antioxidant activity and effects associated with fibroblast proliferation, skin viability, wound healing, hydration, and dermal thickness. Researchers also observed positive changes involving extracellular matrix proteins such as collagen and elastin.

This is particularly interesting because oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction are associated with the biological processes of skin aging.

Methylene blue therefore represents a different approach to skin longevity, one of defense against outside causes of damage.
